◆ 타워크레인 해체 작업 중 개구부 덮개 밟고 추락
28일 수원영통경찰서에 따르면 이날 오전 8시 10분쯤 수원시 영통구 원천동 아주대병원 주차장 신축현장에서 하청업체 소속 A씨가 작업 중 추락해 사망했다. A씨는 타워크레인 해체 작업을 준비하던 중 지상 개구부에 씌워진 덮개를 밟았고, 덮개가 무너지면서 19m 아래인 지하 3층으로 떨어졌다. 당시 A씨는 동료 1명과 함께 작업했으며 안전모와 안전장비를 모두 착용한 상태였던 것으로 전해졌다. 안전장비를 갖췄지만 개구부 덮개의 구조적 문제로 추락을 막지 못한 것으로 보인다.
경찰은 현장 관계자를 대상으로 업무상 과실치사 혐의에 대해 조사할 예정이다. 개구부 덮개의 안전성 검사 여부와 작업 전 안전 점검 실시 여부 등을 중점적으로 확인할 방침이다.
